Can I Travel To Blackpool?
Residents of Lancashire: Although you are permitted to travel countywide (so yes you can travel to Blackpool), you are advised to avoid leaving a Tier 3 area (Lancashire) and at this time avoid travel to other Tier 3 areas (for example Liverpool).
Residents of Tier 1, 2 and other Tier 3 areas are advised against travelling in to any Tier 3 area though this is not mandatory/law as stated by the government themselves.
Can I Stay Overnight In BlackpooI?
Unless from Lancashire (Tier 3) the government advise not to make overnight stays in Tier 3 areas. This is advice rather than mandatory/law. In spite of this advice the government are not closing our hotels/b&bs/holiday parks at this time and these businesses are still able to accept bookings.
Are The Hotels/B&Bs Open?
Some have chosen to close at this time (personal choice due to cancellations) but the majority remain open and are working very hard to keep guests safe.
Will I Get Stopped And Fined For Travelling To Blackpool
No you won’t, there is no law against travelling to Blackpool and making overnight stays, just general advise to avoid.
Are Attractions Open?
Our attractions remain open at this time and are working very hard to insure you have a safe and enjoyable visit. You must book “paid entry” attractions online in advance.
Are Amusement Arcades Open?
Yes, family arcades are open but over 18s areas will be closed from Mon 19th Oct.
Are Restaurants Open?
Our Restaurants remain open at this time.
Are Pubs/Bars Open?
Pubs/Bars that serve food are able to remain open at this time, though those that don’t serve food are now temp closed.
Are The Illuminations On?
Yes, the Illuminations will continue to shine every evening.
Why Are Your Tourism Businesses Open When Your Town Is In Tier 3?
Our businesses have been placed in an impossible situation. Financial support is only available to those businesses forced to close by the government.
At this time the government have not asked our tourism based businesses to close (in spite of the fact they are advising the public to stay away), so our business owners are now being forced to choose between their own survival and the health of the general public.
Can I Travel To Blackpool In A Group
No, you can only visit with members of your own household or bubble.
Rule of 6 applies.
You can not mix in any indoor setting with another household – you can meet family or friends outdoors in certain settings such as the park but the rule of 6 still applies.
